Thai Nguyen Department of Industry and Trade held a meeting to organize civil defense drills to respond to chemical and environmental incidents

On July 9th, 2021, the Department of Industry and Trade held a meeting on civil defense practice to respond to chemical and environmental incidents. Implementation of Document No. 2922/UBND-CNN&XD dated June 25, 2021 of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee on the organization of civil defense drills to respond to chemical and environmental incidents of the Chemical Army.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Chinh, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of the Chemical Force, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chemical Force; Mr. Ngo Van Thieu, Head of Operations Department, Chemical Command. Representative of Military Zone 1, Mr. Vu Manh Phuong, Head of Chemistry Department. Representative of Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command, Mr. An Trung Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Staff.

At the conference, the delegates listened to the leaders of the Chemical Force report a plan on the civil defense practice to respond to chemical and environmental incidents at SEVT Co., Ltd.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ba Chinh emphasized: Department of Industry and Trade coordination with the Chemical Force; Military Zone I; The Military Command of Thai Nguyen Province conducted to survey of the drill site at SEVT Co., Ltd. on July 12th, 2021. After surveying, there will be a specific plan for civil defense drills to respond to chemical and environmental incidents. The scale of the drills will change according to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
